We Prepare Before We Film
A good legacy film does not begin with
a generic list of questions.
Before the filming day, we speak with the person being interviewed to learn about their life and identify the stories worth exploring further.
We may also speak privately with a close family member—a spouse, son, daughter, sibling, or someone who knows them especially well—to uncover stories, people, and questions that might otherwise never come up.
That preparation gives us more than a list of questions. It gives us the background to recognize when an answer deserves another question.

There is no studio to travel to and no need

Up to five hours are reserved for your family’s interview day, so the conversation never has to race against the clock.
If one story leads to another, we follow it.

Frequently Asked Questions:
What if we only have physical photographs?
That is completely fine.
We can scan physical photographs and include them in the finished film
so the people and places being discussed can appear alongside the stories.
Do we need to know what questions to ask?
No. We learn about your family before filming and prepare the conversation for you.
You are welcome to tell us about stories or subjects that matter to you,
but you do not have to conduct the interview yourself.
What if I am worried we will not capture enough?
That is one reason we do not rush the filming day.
We prepare beforehand, allow plenty of time for the conversation,
and record more material than appears in the final film.
If an answer leads somewhere important, we have time to follow it.
Do you travel?
Yes. Bloodline serves families throughout Los Angeles and Southern California,
with travel available outside the region.
What happens after the film is finished?
Some families watch it together right away.
Others save it for a birthday, anniversary, holiday, or future family gathering.
